How to Plan Your Honeymoon in maldives?

After the rush of the wedding is over and done with, you and your partner are going to need a vacation together to help you relax. Not just a vacation but a romantic getaway where the two of you get to spend some quality time together while being pampered from all sides. What better destination is there for this other than the luxurious Maldives with its fancy beaches?

Plan your honeymoon well ahead

Planning your honeymoon is as big a process as planning your wedding even though you may not feel it and it is as important as well. Most couples are always preoccupied with arrangements for the wedding and often tend to push back planning out the honeymoon. If you plan on immediately leaving for your honeymoon after the wedding, then you will need to start planning as soon as you begin your wedding plans if you both agree on a destination like the Maldives.
Thanks to websites and booking engines, people around the world have access to hotel bookings at the tip of their fingers which means, what is on offer will be on a first come first serve basis. Booking well in advance will ensure discounted rates as well as greater availability to select where to stay in Maldives without running dry of choices.

Set your date

With Maldives being a destination that is great to visit during any time of the year, it still has it's peak and off-peak seasons. Peak season is where every day spent here is full of sunshine while off-peak days might have a few rainy days in-between.

It will also depend on the activities you plan on doing together. For example, if you are both planning on diving and snorkelling then you will have to visit during the period deemed best for this activity. But be warned, during peak season rates are much higher with demand in the market. If you are not feeling great at the idea of spending too much, then the best thing to do would be to make your booking during off-season months. Most resorts like Reethi Faru Resort often offer big deals too that could work in your favour.

Full board, Half board or Room only?

This is a very important point to consider when it comes to budget. Will you be staying at the hotel on half board, full board or room only? To begin with, accommodation in the Maldives is generally expensive as it is one of the most luxurious holiday destinations in the world. But meals take most of the bill, why? Keep in mind that the Maldives can only cultivate very little vegetable produce and has to import most of the ingredients used for preparing food. These ingredients are then transported from the main island to other islands in the Maldives which doubles the cost.

If you are staying on a full board basis, your stay is bound to be very expensive. Still, resorts do throw in some extras for their honeymoon packages. For instance, you will be entitled to couple massages, romantic dhoni rides or even a candlelit outdoor dinner for your money's worth. If you plan on staying half board, you still will be able to have two meals a day which most people find suffices. If you still get hungry you can always grab something small to eat during the day. When it comes to the room only package, any meals will have to be paid for separately which can be even more expensive if you are buying meals from the hotel. Instead, this is a great option if you don't plan on spending all your time in the resort, but island hopping and exploring.
