Enjoy a Gentle Dip in the Water
This beach is known for its gentle waves which make it ideal for those who want to enjoy a calming time out in the water. If your idea of having a good time in the ocean is being able to float lazily around while you take in the view, then this is the spot for you. You won't find adrenaline-seeking kite surfers or surfers here, since the water is usually very calm.
Places to Stay Nearby
There are plenty of resorts and other types of accommodation options located just a short drive away from the beach. You can make your selection based on your budget and the amenities that you would like to enjoy during your stay. If you would like a Hoi An hotel that provides a full set of amenities and maintains a world-class standard, a safe bet would be to choose one affiliated with a global hospitality chain. One such example is Anantara Hoi An Resort which is located less than a minute away from the beach by car, and 10 minutes away on foot.
Grab something to Eat
Playing in the water can work up an appetite. Not to worry! When you're feeling hungry, just make your way over to one of the many eateries that are situated along the beach strip. If you like seafood, you're in for a real treat. There are several seafood-serving outlets in the vicinity, and their catches are likely to be very fresh!
If you're not a big fan of seafood, there's no need to fret. You'll still have a lot of choices. Most of the restaurants offer a wide selection of menu items that draw inspiration from various cuisines around the world, from European to French to the Caribbean. Many of the eateries also serve cocktails if you feel like having a midday drink! If you want more choice, you can also drop by one of the hotels that are located close to the beach. They too offer global cuisines out of which you can pick something to eat. As a bonus, you'll be able to make use of some of their well-maintained common facilities to freshen up.
When to Visit?
Popular months to visit are February, March, April and May. During these months, Hoi An experiences mildly warm weather and pretty low humidity. There is also only light rainfall during these months, so you will be able to enjoy plenty of sunny days. If you plan on going during the peak of the summer months, such as, for example in July, expect the temperature to be a lot hotter. It can reach the high 30s in terms of degrees Celsius.
Between September and January, you can expect a lot of rainfall. Therefore, while the temperatures might be cooler, it is not an ideal time to visit Hoi An if the main highlight of your visit is beachside activities. Understandably, due to this, at this time of the year, you will also encounter fewer tourists, making the beaches and other venues less crowded. However, it is inadvisable to visit during these months as there is the chance of flooding owing to the heavy rainfall.
