Spend a day at Railay Beach

If you are looking for an escape for a day, Railay Beach is the answer to the lingering question! Why? Of course, it's the fact that it is completely cut off from the city and hustle and bustle of life. Instead, you will arrive at the island by boat it is only accessible by boat because of the huge cliffs on the island. The beaches are beautiful and clean with powdery sand and the waters are ever so clear. Hire a boat

Enjoy being one with nature

If you love nature or not, it doesn't matter, because once you visit Thung Teao Forest Natural Park you are going to fall in love with it anyway! Home to several plant and animal life, this nature park is also where one of the most beautiful waterfalls are located. Trek through the pathways of the forest and keep your eyes peeled for the Pita Gurney, a bird that is thought to be extinct, but has mysteriously been spotted in this sanctuary. If you are feeling a little tired, head over to the Emerald pool, also called the Crystal Lagoon. The water here is warm and clear and offers an experience similar to a natural hot spring. Take a dip in the waters to soothe your tired body while you admire the roaring waterfall.

Visit the temple of the tiger

Legend has it that a tiger once lived in the caves that have now been transformed into a temple, Wat Tham Sua which was named after it. The best part is that these caves are considered sacred by the monks that live and worship here. Explore the caves and you are sure to be fascinated by the items you'll find within. Another experience you must have here is the climb to see the footprint of Buddha which requires you to climb 1237 steps! Yes, its that many, but all worth it when you get to see the marvellous vistas of the Andaman seas and the islands that lie afloat on it.

Souvenir shopping at the night market

If you are staying at Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort or any of the other hotels in Krabi Ao Nang, then hanging out at the night market wouldn't need too much planning. The market consists of more than 70 food stalls, souvenir sellers and kids performing for collections for schools or charities. The best thing to try out here is the coconut ice cream that happens to be famous in these parts.
